I love Christmas! It’s such a great time to get creative. One of my happiest childhood memories is of making Christmas cards with my mum and my sisters. We’d draw artistic reimaginings of the Nativity or of snowmen and cover them with glitter glue. Each and every radiator in the house would have rows of sparkly cards drying on top of it!
I may have graduated from glitter glue now, but I still love the red, gold and sparkles that come with Christmas time, and hosting family and friends for both the big day and new year’s eve proved a great excuse to bring out the calligraphy skills. As you can probably spot from these pictures, I also learnt to make homemade blinis!
But now Christmas is over and the gold dust has settled, the new year starts. And with new years come resolutions. So mine is to start blogging about my calligraphy and hand lettering projects.
